Supplies Needed:
- 1 box of 2 gallon zip lock bags (freezer)
- 1 five (5) gallon sheet rock mud bucket
- 1 garden hand rake or other adequate stirring implement
- Garden hose
- 1 gallon menhaden oil (pogy, bunker) etc. pure oil
- One 3 lb. can of whole corn
- Rice, oats, macaroni - optional
- Twelve (12) cans Kozy Kity brand cat food or Jack Mackeral cat food. Sold at most grocery stores for 3/$1.00.
- Six (6) loaves wheat bread or stone ground. Flowers bakery outlets will sell old wheat bread (Cub Foods brand) for $0.10 per loaf. You must ask for it in the back store warehouse.
- Food processor or large razor sharp bread knife.
- Electric can opener
Recipe:
- Cut bread up into small chunks or chop in food processor. Careful, you can burn up processor.
- Dump all 12 cans of Kozy Kitty into bucket and mix in bread with small quantities of water. Consistency desired like thick soup.
- Stir in 2 cups of Menhaden Oil. be sure to get even distribution.
- Take off gas mask and drink one beer a safe distance from bucket.
- Fill 2 gallon zip lock freezer bags with chum. Double Bag.
- Freeze bags of chum, lay them flat.
- Transport chum in designated chum cooler with ice above and below.
- Cut 2 gallon bag in half. It fits perfectly in standard nylon mesh chum bag. Make several cuts in plastic bag, tie to cleat or secure to downrigger ball. Hang On!
